Sending much love Sarah, Richard and Tom. We are all deeply saddened by the loss of Max. We will always remember him fondly especially the time spent together in the early years at Clifford.

We miss Max dearly... He was such a lovely friend and we enjoyed getting to know him and seeing him grow in his love for Jesus and for others. He never missed a chance to hang out with us even if it meant coming a long way and he always had such a beautiful and gentle smile that warmed our hearts... We are so thankful to have been able to share some of life with him and find comfort & peace in knowing we will see him again ❤️...

You seemed like a kind and brilliant young man whenever I met you, which admittedly wasn't often. Having read all these tributes, you were clearly a wonderful human, and I'm incredibly sorry we've lost you. We will remember you always. All our love to Tom, Sarah and Richard. xx

I only had the privilege of meeting Max a couple of times, but I remember each one distinctly. Max left such a big impression and I wish I was able to get to know him more. One memory that sticks out was on Word Alive 2023. Max was so kind and thoughtful, inviting me along to go to the sports quiz with his Newcastle friends, when no one else from the Sheffield group wanted to! I was so touched with his welcome and kindness, and am devastated to hear of his passing.

I didn’t have the pleasure of knowing Max well but I am deeply saddened to hear of his passing. The only comfort I find is knowing that Max is with the Lord, rejoicing in heaven. I greatly look forward to the day when I join him and finally get to know him better. I pray for Sarah, Richard and Tom as they navigate this great loss, that they too might find this comfort and that the Lord would hold them close in their grief.

I knew you briefly, but I remember your openness to someone new and quiet. To the depths of who I am, I hope you rest well. May peace and relief find you.

Honestly such devastating news. I did not really know Max that well, but over the past few days, I have heard so many beautiful stories about him.I pray for his family and that a peace that surpasses all understanding would know them❤️

Max I have fond memories of playing football and spikeball together, laughing at silly card games and having late night adventures into the peaks. You picked your words carefully but were often the wittiest person in the room. You remembered inside jokes and made everyone smile with humour that was never at the expense of anyone. I'll forever remember your kindness, your bright smile and the pictures of cats we sent to one another!

Dear Max, Something horrible must have gripped you and stolen your precious life away. Your death is a tragedy. You will always live on as a beautiful kind loving young man, and will always be with us.

I'm Grace, one of the girls that Max was at NUOTC with. We weren't incredibly close friends but he will always hold a special place in my heart after ADX this year. I was a very inexperienced 2IC with not much idea as to what I was doing. Max was the most patient, understanding and kind member of our section and truly helped me out along the way. Telling me where I should be a looking out and going the extra mile for a weaker member of our section without so much as a complaint. I'll always think of those sleep deprived and hungry four days fondly and will try to be more understanding, like Max in future.

Max, I’ve known you for my whole life, my earliest memories are of you cracking jokes with your brother and always laughing. That’s how I’ll always remember you. Rest in peace Max.

Max my little cousin I can always remember us at granny running around the landing with the toys that were there in the big box.

Max, you're my little cousin but I've always looked up to you and been so impressed by the adventurous and brave things you've done. The whole family is so proud of you. I will miss you and your beaming smile so much.

My darling son. I will always remember the boy who loved life outdoors, would come hiking with me whatever the weather, would lend me weird sci-fi books that were surprisingly good, and could supply the answers to the all Greek god questions in my crosswords!

A hole ripped - in the centre of the family and beyond. Thank you for spending time with us.

I am so thankful to have grown up with Max as my brother. I will always miss him.
